Nakajima Kento Spending New Year’s Eve with Johnny Kitagawa and Some of His Senpai “I was shocked”


During the first day of performances in Yokohama Arena, showing off a total 25 tracks mostly from their first album “one Sexy Zone”, they vowed to an audience of 15000 people gathered at the venue.

When they were asked about their New Year’s routine, and otoshidama presents from their seniors during Countdown, Nakajima Kento commented, “I did not get any money but for me, my otoshidama was, though it’s a little early… I was able to spend that day with Kamenashi (Kazuya), Masuda (Takahisa), Yamada (Ryosuke), Okamoto (Keito) and Johnny-san, we went to eat soba noodles that night so for me that’s a nice equivalent”.

[Oricon Ranking] Sexy Zone’s Album “One Sexy Zone” Tops Weekly Charts and Sets 3 Consecutive Records


Released on November 14th, Sexy Zone‘s 1st album “one Sexy Zone” has sold 86,000 copies on its first week, topping 11/26 weekly sales chart. This is youngest male group to ever achieve this record with an average age of 15.4 years. Previous record holder were w-inds, who managed to achieve this with the album “w-inds.~1st message~” (November 2001) with an average age of 16.3 years.

Up until now, Sexy Zone has achieved the title of “Youngest group to debut in the first place” with their debut single “Sexy Zone” (November 2011) and also “Youngest male group to place a DVD in first place” with their DVD “Sexy Zone Arena Concer 2012″ (August 2012). Making  them record holders of 3 “youngest” titles.

This release contains all 3 previous singles; “Sexy Zone”, “Lady ダイヤモンド” and “Sexy Summerに雪が降る”. Also “Teleportation” a solo by Nakajima Kento (18) and “rouge”, a solo by Kikuchi Fuma (17). In addition Sato Shori (16) has composed the song “きみを離さない きみを離れない”, making a total of 16 tracks.
